Closing Down the Restaurant
My last post ended with a phone call from Eric.
He was coming back to town Tuesday and wanted to take me out that evening. I immediately went into date check list mode:
Outfit-needs to be sexy but classy. As Edith Head said "A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman, but loose enough to prove you're a lady". I decided on a winter white long-sleeved backless cocktail dress with python Louboutins.
Hair-long blonde soft curls (always makes the men swoon)
Waxing- Ugh! The most serious PGP!
Tan-Favorite thing! Nap time!
Make-up- Soft gold shadow, Make-up Forever lashes, soft pink glossy lip.
After a few hours of getting ready/dancing to Britney Spears, I was ready for my first date with Eric. His driver was parked outside of my apartment and Eric waited patiently outside the car as I came out the front doors. He looked very handsome.
My stomach had butterflies like crazy and my mind just kept playing Britney songs to calm them. This wasn't my first date since being newly single however, it was the first date I was excited for. I couldn't place it at the time but there was something about Eric that excited me.
We laughed and chit-chatted on the way to the restaurant. He had spent the past week or so going to all the Giant's World Series games. (Mental note: learn more about baseball)
We ordered a bottle of wine before ever opening the actual dinner menu (Point for Team Eric: enjoys good red wine). Then we proceeded to finish that bottle before opening the dinner menu as well. We were very much engrossed in conversation that neither of us had even realized it. (Another point for Team Eric: can carry on a conversation with ease). Deciding it would behoove us to order some food before the second bottle of wine came and also because we were now the last people in the restaurant. By this point, he had asked me out on two more dates and I had agreed.
